In episode 7 of Kill the Lights: More Than Just an Athlete, I spoke to Connor Rogers, men’s lacrosse senior captain at Piedmont University. Connor recently decided to use his last year of eligibility to play his final season of collegiate lacrosse. I think it’s important to understand that Connor had the opportunity to graduate in December 2023. Connor decided to return to Piedmont for an entire year and play the sport he loves. Connor does have some strong aspirations following his final semester at Piedmont. Connor will be successful in the field of his choosing. As mentioned in the episode, he is interested in working with the Atlanta Braves or the University of Virginia radio network. Sports are near and dear to Connor; he has a powerful love for sports. Do you think many NCAA athletes have a strong passion for sports? Whether that is on campus or just in the sports world in general. Connor knows much about sports and created a basketball, baseball, and football podcast. He has a mind for sports, and his knowledge about the various topics cannot go unnoticed. Connor made the correct decision to return for his final year of lacrosse. Do you think the extra year of eligibility granted by Covid has benefited NCAA athletes affected by the pandemic?
