In the most recent episode of Kill the Lights: More Than Just an Athlete, I talked to a junior men’s lacrosse player, Dylan Previ. Dylan gave me a whole new perspective on being a student-athlete. If you are unaware, Piedmont University offers an engineering pathway with other universities like Georgia Tech and Kennesaw State University. Dylan mentioned that his coursework is made up of lots of science and math courses. Could you imagine being a student-athlete taking some of the most challenging courses offered at your university? Dylan went on to talk about some of his landing spots after completing his degree. Dylan said that he is interested in pursuing aerospace engineering. First, whenever I hear aerospace engineering, I immediately assume it is one of the most challenging career fields in the job market. This is another excellent display of student-athletes being more than just athletes. They defied all odds and pursued some of the most challenging career fields. Could you imagine being an aerospace engineer for the rest of your life?
